About Katie Speirs

Hi I’m Katie,

Food, health and energy can get complicated, can’t they?

I’ve learned that feeling well is rarely just about what we eat.  It’s about how we live, how we rest, how we manage stress and how we care for ourselves, and of course, the food!  I help people feel well again when diet, lifestyle and energy have started to feel complicated.  My approach is calm, practical and built for real life.  No fads, no guilt, just food that supports you to feel like yourself again.

The short version

If food feels confusing or your body isn’t quite cooperating, this is where things start to make sense again.  My work is about helping you tune in to what your body is really asking for so you can feel good, energised and more at ease with food.  It’s not about perfect eating or cutting things out, just real life and what works for you.  And for that matter, what works for me too.

Working together

My clinic operates online, allowing you to work with me from anywhere, including the comfort of your own home or office.  I also see a small number of clients in Wakefield.  Everything I do is evidence-based and practical, with a calm approach that fits around real life.  No guilt, no overwhelm, just support that helps you feel clear, confident and comfortable in your body again.

My journey

Nutrition has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.  My mum was talking about protein when I was still in school, which sparked a lifelong interest in how the body works, including my own.  Years of study followed, along with the same missteps most people make.  I now help people make small sustainable changes that shift how they feel, with plans that fit who they are rather than the other way round.

Personalised guidance helps you feel your best, inside and out

Tailored nutrition for lasting wellbeing

You might have heard nutrition professionals talk about everyone being biochemically unique. In simple terms, this means there’s no single diet or lifestyle plan that works for everyone. For example, Sandra might struggle with PMS while you’re focused on weight loss. She could be sensitive to dairy, whereas you might react to strawberries.

There are countless variations like this. Your DNA, medical history, current symptoms, food preferences, and even your lifestyle and personal circumstances all shape what’s right for you.

Creating a truly personalised nutrition plan takes time, skill, and an understanding of how all these factors connect. You could, of course, download a plan from the internet—but without expert guidance, it’s unlikely to meet your individual needs. I also use targeted supplements when appropriate, aligned with your specific health goals. Choosing these without proper support can be confusing, expensive, and sometimes even harmful.

You’ve probably heard nutritionists say that everyone is biochemically unique. That’s just a fancy way of saying that there isn’t one “perfect” way of eating that works for everyone. Maybe Sandra has PMS, and you’re trying to lose a few pounds. She can’t tolerate dairy, while strawberries don’t agree with you.

The Midlife Method

The Midlife Method is a 12-week 1:1 journey for women navigating menopause who are ready to ditch the exhaustion, cool the hot flushes, lose the extra weight, and finally feel confident, energised, and in charge of their lives.
